The first of our new weekly featured piece of our collectable yet functional pottery is this absolutely stunning handmade hand painted bowl, this design is by Peter Harris. Peter has trailed our special glazes in a stylish unique pattern to create these tactile fused concentric circles reminissant of Aborigonal art. This bowl has gone through three firings to achieve this stunning effect. Knowledge of glazes and how they react to one another and firing of the kiln is the key to this highly desirable collectable bowl. Our dear friend Henry Sandon MBE from the BBC's Antiques roadshow has said of Peter's designs and more specifically this design "it is a work of art ,mesmerising, and warrants being a museum exhibtion piece" great praise from such a renowned ceramics expert.
